Once upon a time…
…(around a decade ago), a group of Danish companies defined a set of business requirements from which ITSM360 was born. They found that investments in ITIL training, process consulting and expensive proprietary IT-Service Management tools did not achieve the expected benefits and return on investments.
This led to ITSM Company, a company, which started out with a mixed crew of SharePoint geeks and experienced Service Management consultants. The guiding theory was – and still is – that the consolidation between existing standard technology and IT Service Management will cut down licensing, processing, and IT staffing costs and requirements, improve the workforce productivity, and improve the quality of information as data will no longer be scattered across multiple applications/databases.
The objective was to build “the Next Generation ITSM”, which should be ITIL aligned, agile, and easy to implement – and at the same time take advantage of the acknowledged Social Technologies, Content Management capabilities, & Workflow support in the industry leading Enterprise Productivity Platform; SharePoint.
The first solution was a simple SharePoint/MOSS 2007 portal, where IT-professionals could collaborate, but already in 2010, the first real ITSM360 based on SharePoint 2010 was a reality. Today, ITSM360 supports SharePoint 2013 going on SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint online.
ITSM360 has developed from a “rookie” to a mature Service Management solution, which addresses use cases both inside and outside IT.
